Scary Ride home!

This afternoon driving home from homeschool group, we experienced a flat tire. Now to some that may not seem a big deal.

BUT let me tell you, WOW! I have never been so scared! We were driving on the expressway coming home and my son thought something hit his window. We all heard a noise, but there didn't seem to be anything wrong.....then Thump, thump, thump....oh boy.......

I pulled over, a saw a right rear flat. The issue, I had all 4 kids with me and we were in rush - hour traffic, yikes! The 2nd issue - the spare was SO rusted to the van no one could get it off. My hubby came to help us, the H.E.L.P. Truck came, the police came! Nope no budging! The Nice man, Dave from the H.E.L.P truck, said I ran over a nail!

My hubby has a small car, can seat 4 comfortably. Umm. we have 6! lol!!! So my MIL had to drive about 25 minutes {in normal traffic} to come and take 2 of the kids. SO after 1 hour and 15 minutes in very dangerous traffic, we finally were in the car on the way home. The van, NOT SO MUCH! My poor van had to wait for a Flat Bed Tow Truck!!! The kids were very scared because of the traffic speeding by!

So that was our excitement!!! Praising GOD for keeping us safe on the highway!!!

Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend! Friday night I went to a friends house to do her Tastefully Simple Party. This is something I do part time! Saturday I Was at a vendor event called "Pamper YOurself" It was such a blessing to be around all those wonderful ladies! I met some many people! My girls went with me and hula - hooped till they couldn't anymore! LOL!

Saturday night we had a picnic with 2 homeschool families! That was a blessing too. We had 9 kids and 6 adults, hot dogs, mac salad, veggie relish, pink lemonade, and popsicles!

Sunday we went to church, and Emily had a girl scout day at the park, we really missed her all day! After church we went shopping, out to lunch then home for weeding and working on the NEW garden! I am super excited to start planting, but we need to wait a few more days or week!

TOday we have homeschool group lessons, and soccer! Phew, I am tired already!!!

ColdStone Creamery

1 word, YUMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY

One thing I most definitely love about homeschooling is the field trips! Yesterday The kids and I went to Coldstone Creamery, and boy was that fun. The owner gave our group of 20 kids, plus 8 mom's a free tour, a demonstration in decorating cupcakes, building an ice cream cake, and making our own creations with mixing in yummy toppings!

They also sell chocolates and snacks, I spent way to much moolah, but it was totally worth it! The kids had so much fun learning everything it takes to own your own business and to make the ice cream and everything!

Today is a home day until soccer tonight.

My hubby also started preparing for our very 1st garden. He spent 2 hours last night, removing sod, so he can rototill it tonight! I can't wait to go pick out what we are going to grow!!

Any suggestions would be awesome!!!
